Is an extremely stylish rabbit. (read more here)

Spotted at Jungceylon, she decorated the mall pretty this Christmas. Prettier than the stuff back home. To my rare few readers, Merry Christmas!

With all the hype about Haneda airport and direct flights (SQ, ANA, etc) there, my enthusiasm about Japan is re-igniting back to yesteryear's level! For some illogical reason, it could all have started off from the Nodame turned anime effect. I will find a means to get myself there soon, which my first attempt was to enter in an itinerary contest! *Please pick me, please pick me...*

While before that happens, I'd like to share my discovery of the day:

Kobukuro - Sakura

As the Cherry Blossoms season nears, Starbucks Japan is all ready for the festival. They have rolled out a plethora of pink treats from Sakura Cream Frappe, Sakura Steamer (Sakura Milk), Sakura Chiffon and Steam Cake, and other product accessories.

StarbucksJP-Sakura

Almost certainly a Japan exclusive. Can someone get some for me?!

最近迷上了...

罗志祥

I've been a mini fan of Rainie's dramas since long ago. The latest is no exception.

The chemistry between the two leads are amazing, that strangely I developed a further liking to Show Luo. So much so that I went online and purchased his latest album in a whiff! And over the past few weeks, I was engrossed with burrowing through youtube archives for Show related stuffs. Hah! Amazing I know. Even I am amazed at myself still. Being teenybopperish once again.

  • 313 +J

Usual of a mall rat, I decided to check out 313 Somerset, the new mall on the belt.

The driving force came from Uniqlo with its +J collection. +J by Jil Sander is a neat and crisp collection. I nearly succumbed into buying a one of those wool jackets at $149.90 which happen to be flattering except that I have no practical use for it, and (thankfully) had to placed it back on the shelves.

UNIQLO has finally hit our shores! Excited I am about the Japanese clothing brand making its debut, but of all places... it had to be at Tampines 1 in the inconvenient far east of Singapore.

I've been to the ones in Japan and love the brand for their chic and affordable quality clothings. Never would I have thought though, that I would brave the crowd to check this one out. I am a strong-willed shopaholic. Damn the the raves and media hype!

Check out the queue! It snaked along the shop's corridors ALL THE WAY to the staircase exit at the back. I by myself, would have turned away. So thanks to the sweet Ed who queued in advance and halved my waiting. (Aside: Much as I hated queues, I really appreciated this one. It made my shopping experience much more pleasant than having to shove around with Obasans.)

Shop away!

This is certainly detrimental to my pockets. Despite so, I came out a happy customer.
Oh, now I can't wait for ION to open!

What did you do on Earth Hour?

The day's activity ended at about 8pm. Since I was nearby, it came to mind to spend earth hour at the Esplanade. What a worthy cause coming from me, right! Haha. Fact is - I read in the news of a party happening there and had wanted to see the lights out too. Kpoism, a behaviour of the typical Singaporean.

"Marina carpark - FULL"

"Esplanade carpark - FULL"

We can easily second guess that the area is full of other KPOs alike. I dropped off just in time to see the Esplanade durians dim off. Wow, I thought. Perception changed soon as I walked into the area. Effort was sparse. Most restaurants and food joints are well lit, including parts of the Esplanade's interior. The construction site at the opposite bay was lit in full blast, which obviously didn't help. Perhaps one hour's work would make a difference in the Casino's opening? And then I saw what I thought was a hilarious sight... One food place had electric light turned on and candles lit at the same time. Made no sense, so where's the purpose and what were the owners thinking?!

We could do better. Not impressed.

As with my pink craze, comes my W595 in peachy pink!

It's soooo girly pink, but I like it. Haaa

I was in a pink gizmo craze over the past few months. Mobile phones, to be exact, was probably the driving reason. I needed to replace my old, battered and almost defunct K610i. It was in a pathetically dire state. So finally, after some furious comparison of the models in the market - F480, the Ice Cream phone, T700, even LG's (Might have been quite desperate to change phones too, I figured)... I settled for this. *satisfied*

Nooooo... I'm not a 宅女!!! Time for an image change.

On another note, this should help quit playfish which is getting irritatingly addictive.

1. I'm a quarter century old!
2. I was born during a recession?

Not very good revelations at all. Read here.

Me: 一度も日本へいきたい 。
(I want to go to Japan no more.)

Sensei: もう一度日本へいきたい 。
(I want to go to Japan once more.)

She must have flipped a thousand times after hearing what I said! *sheepish*

Making it worse, I skipped Japanese class today. Tiredness.

I'm a pretty hopeless shopper that goes weak at the sign of "SALE!"

Much to their glee, the retailers' curse has been cast - I couldn't stop spending, spending, spending.

I'm a self-declared mall rat and a walking sale directory (yeah, ask me! ask me!). Over the past months, I've patronised almost every possible sale that is happening in town. And online retail didn't make it any easier. :/

I reckon, soon I'll be flea-ing flea-ing and flea-ing.

GET ME A WALK-IN WARDROBE, SOMEONE!

JLPT 3 has just ended last weekend.

During the preparation interim, I've loosely compromised my weekends to Japanese studies.

It was one onerous stint. Not because I've studied extremely hard, but of the mind-battle against the roaring year-end sales which evil temptations has been coaxing me to cast my books aside and hit the malls - and that is hard to curb given my shoppaholic nature. Indeed I have stealth shopped on several occasions, in the pretext of 'taking a breather'. And I probably still felt a little shop-deprived during the exam period, so now that the exams are over, I've gone into shopping frenzy mode. It's hurting my pockets!

That aside, I recently experienced tooth troubles.

My dentist confirmed the horrific news: I needed a ROOT CANAL treatment for my front tooth - which I've obliged to, for fear of it aggravating. Her gentle reminder of my existent wisdom tooth peppered the wound. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, hoping that my tooth will wise up and not give me problems anytime soon.

It's recession ok! I don't need a bigger hole in my pocket.
